Why We're Building Our Own.
There is no shortage of online PDF tools. But almost every one of them works the same way: you upload your file to their server, they process it, and you hope for the best. Somewhere along the line, your contract, your medical record, or your business plan is sitting on a stranger's hard drive.
We think that's a problem worth solving. So we built our own conversion engine — one that runs entirely on our own infrastructure, uses only open-source tools, and never sends your files anywhere except back to you.
This page is the public preview. The tools are in final testing, and we'll be rolling them out soon. Everything below shows what's coming and how it works.

Merge PDFs

Ghostscript handles merging, splitting, compression, and PDF↔image conversions. It's the same engine used by printers and publishers worldwide, and it's been rock-solid for over two decades.

Word ↔ PDF Conversion
For documents where formatting matters (tables, images, headers), LibreOffice's headless mode does the heavy lifting. It matches Microsoft Office output within 1–2% on almost every document.

Your Files Stay Yours.
No Third Parties
Files never leave our server. We don't use CloudConvert, Adobe, or any external API. Your documents are processed on the same machine you're browsing from.
Auto-Deleted
Every file — original and converted — is deleted from our server within 60 minutes of download. No backups, no archives, no "for quality assurance" retention.
No Tracking
We don't log what you convert. We don't fingerprint your files. We don't build a profile of your document habits. This isn't a data-collection product in disguise.
No Sign-Up
No email required. No account needed. No "verify to continue." Use the tool and move on with your day. We're not building a mailing list here.
What's Left to Build.
We're being deliberate about rollout — every feature ships only after it works perfectly on real-world files. Here's where we are today:
Phase 1 — Core Engine (Complete)
Ghostscript integration, PHP wrapper class, temp file handling, auto-cleanup cron.
Phase 2 — PDF Tools (Complete)
Merge, compress, split, PDF→JPG, JPG→PDF, extract images. All working in testing.
Phase 3 — Word Integration (In Progress)
LibreOffice headless mode for DOCX↔PDF. Waiting on server-side installation.
Phase 4 — Excel & PowerPoint
XLSX↔PDF and PPTX↔PDF conversions once Word pipeline is validated.

Common Questions.
Is this really free? +
Yes, completely. No per-file fees, no subscription, no "premium" tier that unlocks the useful features. We built this for our own use internally, and decided to make it public because the current alternatives are either slow, expensive, or invasive.
What's the maximum file size? +
We're targeting 100 MB per file at launch. That's significantly larger than what most free tools allow — and unlike them, we're not going to change our mind six months from now and start charging for the size you actually need.
Can I use this for commercial work? +
Absolutely. Use it for your business, your clients, your team — no restrictions, no attribution required. The underlying tools (Ghostscript and LibreOffice) are open source, and our wrapper is too. Go build something great.
When exactly will this launch? +
PDF tools are ready and will go live first. Word conversions depend on LibreOffice being installed on our server — that's a hosting-side decision we're working through. We'll announce the launch via our blog, and you can also sign up to be notified by email through our Contact page.
Do you keep a copy of my files? +
No. Files are deleted from our server within 60 minutes of conversion — usually much sooner. There is no backup, no cache, no archive for "quality purposes." If you lose the download link, you'll need to convert again.
